OpenAFS 1.7.21 is the next a series of OpenAFS clients for the Microsoft
Windows platform that is implemented as a native file system.
Significant changes since 1.7.21:
* Fixes critical kernel driver reference counting errors
that can result in a BSOD.
* Fixes several errors in afsd_service.exe which can result
in unexpected termination.
* Prevents access to SACL via file system Security Information
Queries. Executables can now be started from network drive
mappings.
* Improved compatibility with Trend Micro Office Scan 10.0.
* Adds support for creating and deleting hard links.
* \\afs\cell#volume\ notation now works with the AFS redirector.
* "fs getcacheparms" once again reports used cache buffers.
* "fs getcalleraccess" now implemented on Windows.
* "msdfs:" symlinks can now refer to DOS devices. (e.g., msdfs:c:\temp)
* RX corrections.
1.7.21 is the recommended release of OpenAFS for Microsoft Windows
users. It supports Microsoft Windows client operating systems from
Windows XP SP3 through Windows 8 and Windows Server operating
systems from 2003 SP2 through 2012. The 1.7.21 Windows client is
fully compatible with all AFS server versions.
For UNIX, Linux, and MacOS X the recommended production-ready release of
