The OpenAFS Release Team is pleased to announce the availability of OpenAFS version 1.6.5.1. Source files and available binaries can be accessed via the web at: http://www.openafs.org/dl/openafs/1.6.5.1/ or via AFS at: /afs/grand.central.org/software/openafs/1.6.5.1/ \\afs\grand.central.org\software\openafs\1.6.5.1\ OpenAFS 1.6.5.1 is the next in the current series of stable releases of OpenAFS. This minor release only affects the clients for AIX and certain Linux kernels. In particular, it brings support for mainline kernels from 3.11 up to at least 3.12-rc4, can be built against kernels without keyring support, and brings a number of fixes relevant to users of certain enterprise distributions. Please consult the release notes for details. If you are unaffected by these issues, you can stick with 1.6.5 until 1.6.6 is released. Binaries are only provided for Fedora 19 at the time of release. Additional ones for other affected platforms will be added as they become available. Bug reports should be filed to [email protected]. 1.6 releases are no longer targeting MS Windows.
