The OpenAFS Release Team is pleased to announce the availability of OpenAFS
version 1.8.8 for UNIX/Linux. Source files can be accessed via the web at

This release brings performance and reliability improvements, improved
diagnostics, support for the latest Linux mainline kernel (currently 5.13)
and macOS 11.0 "Big Sur" as well as support for recent FreeBSD releases
and a number of bug fixes.
