I know why you shut down the client.  I want to know why other people 
shut down the client.

I also know this is a show stopper.  However, I have not found the 
problem yet.  I have
found many others.  This problem goes away when the compiler changes and 
it does not
happen on all systems.  So it is clearly either timing related or 
writing through an
uninitialized pointer.

When the problem is found it will be fixed.  In the meantime, you can 
kill the service
and not shut it down if you so wish.  Or you can be patient.  We are not 
going to ship
1.4 with this problem.
