WARNING: Recursive Symlinks will cause 100% CPU utilization

This e-mail is simply to document to the community a known bug which I 
have no time to pursue on my own.

The cache manager in Openafs for windows contains code to prevent 
indefinite symlink recursion.  Indefinite recursion is bad because it
can result in the cache manager entering an infinite loop. 
Unfortunately, the error code which is returned by the AFS SMB/CIFS
server in this case appears to be ignored by the Windows CIFS client in 
some cases.  The end result is the CIFS client retries the operation
indefinitely producing 100% CPU utilization.

This bug exists in all versions of OpenAFS but given some of the other 
problems which we have seen in the past OpenAFS for Windows might have 
died before you would have seen it.
