With the release earlier this week of the new stable OpenAFS for Windows
release, 1.3.81:

  http://lists.openafs.org/pipermail/openafs-announce/2005/000100.html

there is also an updated status report:

http://web.mit.edu/jaltman/Public/OpenAFS/Reports/Apr-2005-Status-Report.pdf

The 1.3.81 release is the result of several more weeks of testing using
the MIT IS&T stress test. The end result is a client which after more
than a week of testing could not be crashed or otherwise brought to a
non-functioning state.

In addition, as announced on the openafs-win32-devel list the method
used for translating timestamps stored in AFS (UNIX time) to Windows
(FILETIME) has been replaced. Under the new method, a file copied from
NTFS to AFS in January will maintain matching timestamps after the DST
transition. See the mailing list archive for a more complete discussion:

https://lists.openafs.org/pipermail/openafs-win32-devel/2005-April/000308.html

For the complete list of changes since 1.3.80 see:
  http://www.openafs.org/dl/openafs/1.3.81/winnt/afs-changes-since-1.2.txt

and of course be sure to read the install notes:

As always I encourage all organizations and individuals who wish to
support the development of OpenAFS for Windows to contact me. Financial
contributions as well as in kind assistance are seriously appreciated.
