GSOC proposal and query regarding project

Dear OpenAFS team,

I am interested in contributing to OpenAFS for GSOC 2025. Specifically, I
want to work on GNOME Shell extension project. I have reviewed the idea and
started exploring OpenAFS client operations.
I have proficiency in Javascript and am improving my GNOME shell
development. I am also exploring OpenAFS and studying its codebase. I have
formed some idea as to how i want to make the extension for OpenAFS. I have
used OpenAFS for my linux system and I am very much interested in building
the GNOME extension for it.

Could someone guide me on the best way to approach this? Who would be the
mentor to discuss technical details with?
