No one is actively maintaining the FreeBSD 4.x client or server now.  I am
working on FreeBSD 5.x and some of my changes will inevitably break 4.x.
But I don't think this is anything I did.

It looks like you've got SUPERGROUPS turned on for part of the build but off
for some other part.  I don't know how this could happen.  SUPERGROUPS is
off for 5.x, and the ptserver builds ok.
