I tried the current OpenAFS sources from cvs as of Friday on
FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE-p3 on an essentially clean machine. Link
creation still appears to be broken. I get this lovely thing
trying to build a kernel with sources in AFS:
va1# Aug 18 10:52:18 va1 /kernel: pid 367 (config), uid 4250: exited on signal 10
va1#
Fatal trap 12: page fault while in kernel mode
fault virtual address = 0x4
fault code = supervisor read, page not present
instruction pointer = 0x8:0xc0244573
stack pointer = 0x10:0xdb430e24
frame pointer = 0x10:0xdb430e38
code segment = base 0x0, limit 0xfffff, type 0x1b
= DPL 0, pres 1, def32 1, gran 1
processor eflags = interrupt enabled, resume, IOPL = 0
current process = 513 (ln)
interrupt mask = none
trap number = 12
panic: page fault
syncing disks... 121 2
done
Uptime: 4h13m26s
Automatic reboot in 15 seconds - press a key on the console to abort
After only minimal testing, the fileserver still seems to be working fine.
