Hello Stephen,

Ben (as a member of the Debian Maintainers Team) released the debian package
openafs 1.8.6-5 which contain the fixes in upstream 1.8.7.

Ununtu PPAs for 1.8.6-5 are available now for Ubuntu versions 18.04,
20.04, 20.10, 21.04.
