Thank *you* for reparing the issue. :-)

Both the Catalina and the BigSur-Version now work. The BigSur computer 
took some three minutes to shutdown after the test, but that was not 
necessarily related to the OpenAFS installation (it's an older MacBook 
with only 4 GB RAM).
