Do you have NetInfo and/or NetRestrict files in /etc/openafs/server/?

Does the output of "ip addr" or "ifconfig -a" list the address 192.168.1.43?

The error is being generated from verifyInterfaceAddress() in 
src/ubik/beacon.c.
