Problems building modules with dkms 3.2.1 in RHEL 8 and 9

Hello,

we just ran into a problem building openafs modules in RHEL with latest 
dkms:

Module openafs/1.8.13-1.el8 for kernel 4.18.0-553.40.1.el8_10.x86_64 
(x86_64):
dkms.conf: Error! Unsupported NO_WEAK_MODULES value 'true'

Error! Bad conf file.
File:  does not represent a valid dkms.conf file.


Error! dkms kernel_prerm for kernel 4.18.0-553.40.1.el8_10.x86_64 
(x86_64) failed for module(s) openafs/1.8.13-1.el8(8).

Last working dkms version in RHEL: dkms-3.1.8
