how to check sfs installation

Hi:

I've installed SFS on Linux, with precompiled binaries (rpms) and it did not
work.
I do a "cd /sfs/@sfs.fs.net..." as the manual suggests to test installation
and it does not work. It prints that the directory does not exist. The
"/sfs" directory does exist, and I've started "sfscd".

I'd appreciate any help. Are there any "logs" to see whether "sfscd" has
started correctly or if there is any problem with sfs?
