Has anybody compiled and used SFS with LBFS for Linux?

If anybody has, here are some questions I want to ask:

1) which version of SFS?
2) how does it work? is it stable or it has important bugs?

3) I plan to use LBFS in Linux with low bandwidth and high latency links
with several clients accessing the same folder but (in most cases) not the
same files. The files will be OpenOffice documents that make an "autosave"
every 5 to 10 minutes more or less. The use will be quite write-only, and
reads will happen less frequently.
If anyone has used LBFS in similar situations it would be helpful.
