auto*/libtool versions for CVS?

I've been trying to compile sfs out of CVS, but I haven't even been able
to create the configure from the setup script.  I seem to have the wrong
versions/combination of versions of automake, autoconf, and libtool.
I've tried two different combinations: (autoconf 2.13, automake 1.8.5,
libtool 1.5.2) and (autoconf 2.13, automake 1.4-p4, libtool 1.4.2a).

Could someone who's successfully built sfs out of CVS let me know what
versions of these tools you're using?
