Yes, the developers are trying to release a new version.  It's been in 
the works for a long time, but various delays keep popping up.

Would you like to help us?  In particular, I'm looking for someone who 
wants to experiment with the SFSRO client and server.  SFSRO is a 
version of SFS for public content distribution on untrusted replicas. 
SFSRO provides integrity protection of a complete file system (not just 
individual files) in the context intended by the content producer.  It 
would be appropriate for software distribution, certificate authorities,
and other public content needing integrity (blogs?).  I was writing 
documentation for SFSRO, but got sidetracked.
