SFS on SGI Irix

Hi, 

I'd like to try out SFS on an old SGI machine (an Indy with a MIPS r5000
CPU) running Irix 6.5. Has anyone tried this before or were any problems
reported earlier on running SFS on Irix? 

Notably, the FAQ mentions potential problems regarding deadlock on page
faults on some OSes, and maybe other potential problems exist. As I want
to mount my actual homedirectory using SFS I'd like to avoid any issues
that may occur. Could any dataloss occur as the result of for example
the deadlock problem or another problem?
