That would work in 99.9% of cases, which is sufficient. I thought the user
had to select which of the recommended to install; select recommended when
possible is a better approach, indeed. This would not work in esoteric
cases where one condition (os=windows) requires some_interface==2.* and
another (os!=windows) requires some_interface==1.*; but I'll ignore this
until I encounter such a case in the wild, they might not even exist.
