If you compare 0inst with AUR it is clear to see why AUR is more popular: it works better and is less trouble! It does not keep an app programmer to use the same advanced ways in use with 0inst, just, it does not enforce it. Which is why you find some absolute paths in AUR apps. But overall, AUR is simpler and less trouble and adds less complexities. Its quite impressive how the guix makers proved their point by actually packaging a whole distro with it, i.e. GuixSD. Is is poss to repackage GuixSD using 0install ?
