Looks like it was dependency compiler version mismatch -- compiling OpenSP 1.5.2 with gcc 4.0.1 let me finish configuring and building libofx 0.8.1 cvs. I'm still not getting the results I want (aqbanking working with gnucash2), but that's either dependency hell or user error.
