was 0.8.1 an ABI change?

Does the transaction struct change that resulted in the 0.8.0->0.8.1  
version change constitute an "ABI change"? The fink folk are pretty  
hardnosed about renaming packages when such changes occur (as in  
libofx -> libofx1 (package name in fink) when libofx went from 0.6.6  
to 0.7.0). I'm trying to prepare a packaging file so libofx 0.8.2 can  
be available for gnucash 2. I'm trying to make sure I don't run into  
objections when I submit it, and I don't really know too many details  
about programming even though I manage to muddle though small changes  
OK.
