I agree and I also do not use the archiving function. My 
one  doubt is, whether the size of the file will eventually 
slow down the program. So far that does not seem to be the 
case. My main .md file is 4 Mb which represents more that 
ten years of bookkeeping.
It is the equivalent of 4 photographs so space is not a 
consideration.
