It is usually deducted as an expense in some other account. The transactions
in a loan account are actually splits from a transaction in a bank account.
The splits in the loan account only reduce principal (adding to your net
worth). Paired with those splits (within a bank account parent transaction)
are splits that account for interest paid (subtracting from your net worth).
