Hi Larry,
I can not reproduce this behavior using MD 2011r2 (build 803)
Java: 1.6.0_29 in a Windows environmet.
I would suggest upgrading to the latest build of MD and update
to the latest version of Java.  
You may also want to post your issue at the Moneydance Help
