Looks like we're both on top of this stuff today. :-) Ah, indeed, as have I. I was just curious as to what was going on. Between my (soon to be trimmed) hosts file, which points a lot of stuff back to localhost, Privoxy, and my local Squid (which will probably inherit the blocks from my current humongous hosts file), I don't contact these places (though I do know that they serve a legitimate purpose). Thanks for clarifying this for me, my friend! Cheers, and Happy Holidays. PS - I posted an RFE on the Infinite Kind forum concerning the splash page. I figured that might be a better place for an RFE than here. ;-) On 12/28/11 03:36 pm, Sean Reilly thus wrote : > Hi Lewis, > > I've noticed the same thing when working without a connection. It is coming from the import list extension developed by Florian Breunig, which has some tracking to see how many people are using the extension. I've found it to be a very useful extension. > > Thanks, > Sean > > > On 28 Dec 2011, at 18:29, Lewis G Rosenthal wrote: > >> Greetings... >> >> My local setup blocks access to GA, so I guess that's why my console displayed the following 503 error: >> >> 2011-12-28/12:35:21.560/EST [AnalyticsBackgroundThread] ERROR JGoogleAnalyticsTracker: Error requesting url 'http://www.google-analytics.com/__utm.gif?utmwv=4.7.2&utmn=1812079201&utmt=event&utme=5(Moneydance%202011r2*Display*Import%20List%20v6)&utmcs=Cp850&utmsr=1400x1050&utmsc=32&utmul=en-US&utmje=1&utmhid=-325415964&utmac=UA-661182-7&utmcc=__utma%3D-1343183828.1031008432.1325093719760.1325093719760.1325093719760.13%3B%2B__utmz%3D-1343183828.1325093719760.1.1.utmcsr%3D(direct)%7Cutmccn%3D(direct)%7utmcmd%3D(none)%3B&gaq=1', received response code 503 >> >> However, I am left wondering why MD (or what extension) is trying to contact GA in the first place. Any thoughts? Anyone else seeing this in the console (to test, add a hosts entry for www.google-analytics.com for 127.0.0.1 before starting MD). I did just set up a clean MD test install (no extensions, yet) on Windows for something; maybe I'll try that machine, too. >> >> TIA >> >> -- >> Lewis >> ------------------------------------------------------------- >> Lewis G Rosenthal, CNA, CLP, CLE, CWTS >> Rosenthal& Rosenthal, LLC www.2rosenthals.com >> Need a managed Wi-Fi hotspot? www.hautspot.com >> visit my IT blog www.2rosenthals.net/wordpress >> please do not add my address to any non-bcc mass mailings >> ------------------------------------------------------------- >> >> _______________________________________________ >> For Moneydance customer support, please visit http://help.infinitekind.com >> [email protected] >> http://moneydance.com/mailman/listinfo/moneydance-info > _______________________________________________ > For Moneydance customer support, please visit http://help.infinitekind.com > [email protected] > http://moneydance.com/mailman/listinfo/moneydance-info > -- Lewis ------------------------------------------------------------- Lewis G Rosenthal, CNA, CLP, CLE, CWTS Rosenthal& Rosenthal, LLC www.2rosenthals.com Need a managed Wi-Fi hotspot? www.hautspot.com visit my IT blog www.2rosenthals.net/wordpress please do not add my address to any non-bcc mass mailings ------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ For Moneydance customer support, please visit http://help.infinitekind.com [email protected] http://moneydance.com/mailman/listinfo/moneydance-info
