Dave, it's possible that an out of resource issue could have caused
openJDK to chew the file upon closing. Have you noticed any difficulty
closing the session at all? Also, I know you only installed in recently,
but to be sure, you *are* using:

OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0-ga2-b24)

(the above from java.exe -version)

Also, what are you using in your cmd file to start MD insofar as java
configuration is concerned? Maybe we're running out of heap space? So
far, I've been okay with -mx512m:

'@' || jbin' -mx512m -cp
'mdbin'moneydance.jar;'mdbin'appsrc.jar;'mdbin'jcommon-1.0.16.jar;'mdbin'jfreechart-1.0.13.jar;'mdbin'tablelayout.jar
Moneydance'

Compare that to what you're using. For the record, I have *not* seen
this type of data file corruption with 2011r2 (803).
