Hi,

in order to build fontforge on our OpenSuSE Linux/GNU system I had to apply
this patch:

diff -ur -x .gitignore -x Makefile.in -x autom4te.cache -x configure fontforge-git.orig/configure.ac fontforge-git/configure.ac
--- fontforge-git.orig/configure.ac	2013-11-04 10:51:01.000000000 +0100
+++ fontforge-git/configure.ac	2013-11-04 11:56:35.517091188 +0100

+AC_SEARCH_LIBS([forkpty],[util])

  dnl FIXME: Is this needed, given we are using libltdl?
  dnl The dlopen() function is in the C library for *BSD and in libdl on GLIBC-based systems
