Re: stable search

Believe me I understand that -- but it does not answer my question.

I already commented on issue 945 and the other issue in the tracker that I
encountered from the *current* master.  Posting a string of crash reports
from old commits is unlikely to contribute anything to that discussion,
particularly without milestones involved.
