Hi Alexandre,

ty, I so far received 3 answers to my request, and all recommend
to remove the .mo file(s). I will go for that one.

I have very little spare time, however, I am willing to "donate" the
time to translate some lines per week. I am a native German speaker,
so translating into German language would be ok to me.

Example from FF:
Name for humans (mask Element/Font Info/General) in English
Vorzeigename (indicated name), Font Info -> Schrift-Eigenschaften (=font
properties, the hyphen is grammatically false in German either!) in German

This is poorer than poor ;-)
I would translate that into "Schriftinfo" (no hyphen) and into "Anzeigename"
(= name shown to humans) or even into "Angezeigter Name für Benutzer" =
name indicated to users

Greetings, Martin (Dwalin)

I would strongly recommend a PO editor instead. Removing fuzzy markers
manually is, frankly, quite annoying.
