i'm not a debian "guru" but i'm a debian developer who follows this list
and wants fontforge to work well with debian (alas, i don't have much
time to devote to fontforge these days).  If you've got good debian
packaging work for fontforge, it would be great if you could offer it to
debian directly, and make sure it aligns to debian policy.  That way
everyone else can make use of it :)

If you care about debian packaging for fontforge, i invite you to join
the debian fonts task force mailing list -- you don't need to have any
"official" status in debian -- just pitch in!
