Umm, freetype does not apply to large areas of X. Get yourself a
high-resolution monitor and you will find out :) The situation is not
as pretty as you think.

You are right, it's easy enough to hack around the problem. It just
seemed like it would be more elegant to add another section to the
bitmap-creation tools, where now they automate 75 dpi and 100 dpi
settings, and add one for 200 dpi, since high-resolution displays are
(finally) coming.

But it's not a biggy. I can just make them double-big then lie about
the point size.  If I weren't anal-retentive about these things I
wouldn't even have asked.
