Program quits when I try to add a 'fina' single substitution glyph

I’m running FontForge on OSX 10.9.1 with XQuartz. Steps: Go to «Element > Font Info > Lookups» and click «Add Lookup» Set Type: «Single substitution» Add a new feature: «Terminal forms» (fina) Press OK Add subtable (and give it a name) Chose a glyph in glyph name and replacement glyph Press OK In my case the app hangs for a moment and then quits with no error message. What I’m trying to achieve is to change the glyph at the end of a word. Am I doing something wrong?
