Recently FontForge started crashing on me at startup when opening a
particular SFD file -- one which has worked in the past. No issues with
other files.

>From the command line, all I see are a bunch of
SPLFirstVisitorFoundSoughtXY() warnings, like so:

Naturally, I would assume there's a problem in the file, but I get maaaany
copies of that same warning even when opening files that FF has no trouble
with.

What is it trying to tell me? Searching on GitHub, I see it comes up in a
few issue reports, but never with much in the way of explanation.

How do I figure out what the trouble is?
