Hello, coming up-to-date with fontforge again after some years and I noticed a few compilation 'show-stoppers'. I am posting each issue in a separate mail for clarity. System: Linux Mint 19.1 (based on Ubuntu bionic) with gcc/g++ 7.3.0, make 4.1, automake 1.15.1 (in case any of these is relevant). Issue 1: The installation/compilation instructions in https://github.com/fontforge/fontforge/blob/master/INSTALL-git.md list giflib-dbg among the packages to install in order to compile fontforge on Ubuntu. Such a package does not seem to exist; according to Synaptic, a package libgif7 is installed by default, while other gif-related packages can be giflib-tools or libgif-dev which are not installed by default. Is the lack of this package relevant? is any of the other suitable? any suggestion is welcome. Thank you.
