I installed OpenSUSE. 1. $ sudo zypper install xfontsel 2. $ xfontsel -scaled 3. Set the parameters as follows: fndry: "misc", family: "liberation mono", weight: "medium", slant: "r" I can give you other examples if required. It's also apparent in Fontforge when you do the "Element|Bitmap Strikes Available" action. See attached Images. Left hand side is Ubuntu 16, right hand side is OpenSUSE.
