But it's running now, and it's still hanging. FWIW, Qt4 uses this call too (in dbus/dbusconnection.cpp) and I'm pretty sure that code is executed regularly when running KDE4 applications. I haven't heard anything about hangs on recent OS X versions (I'm still on 10.9 myself). Are you sure your node.js server hasn't been updated?
