Hi,
is it known what is the status of d-bus python?

The package on PyPI is pretty old (1.2.4) and basically
suggest not to use it:

> dbus-python might not be the best D-Bus binding for you
> to use. dbus-python does not follow the principle of “In the
> face of ambiguity, refuse the temptation to guess”, and
> can’t be changed to not do so without seriously breaking
> compatibility.

However the repo seems to be pretty much
alive:

https://cgit.freedesktop.org/dbus/dbus-python/

and the version (1.2.6) has been tagged but haven't
found it's way to PyPI.

The GDBus seems more difficult to start with,
and can't make use of sd-bus at the moment.

Are you still starting new projects based on dbus-python?
Are you poring the latest version from git?

Be Well,
Alan
