watches versus sfds

Hi All, I am writing a mainloop for Guile based on libdbus and epoll. I have a procedure for adding watches. Is there a limit on how many watches are assocated with a specific (unix) fd? I see from print statements that it is at least two. I am setting up a datastructure to track fd->watches so want to know if this is just a handful (in, out, error, hangup) or an arbitrary number.
