I don't= =20 see a strong justification for numbering a spec base with that status with = a=20 0.X number (_maybe_ 0.9). But if I hear one I'll consider it. > How about=20 > calling it v0.1 to start, then lets discuss requirements and candidate > features to form a more complete specification. Freedesktop=20 Platform Software 1.0 is still a ways off, and I would expect slightly more= =20 contention over it. But a Platform release of _some_ kind has been wanting= =20 for a while now, hence the clever naming. I'd be happy to present on the topic at DDC (since I don't look to have eno= ugh=20 material for the other presentation I wanted to do), though I wouldn't be=20 surprised if the audience ended up doing a lot of the talking. But I'm fin= e=20 with that idea. ;) =2D ajax --nextPart2868514.l4HaDmFtEu Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBCW/IiW4otUKDs0NMRAipeAKCH7rmGNVaaCdUn6pgZwOp7hr9g4ACfZNeH TkyCukjETsz4v5IoCMPZu5g= =a955 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart2868514.l4HaDmFtEu-- --===============0066194832== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline _______________________________________________ platform mailing list [email protected] http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/platform --===============0066194832==--
