Well I'm not sure what happened, I can try again without iopl.  I've
never had problem accessing VGA registers, I just couldn't make MMIO
registers do something right.

The simple test that I put yesterday worked for the first time (cursor
sprite), but the acceleration test case (solid block drawing) is not
working yet, the card never gives me a ready state
