It was fine until i updgraded to FC2-test2 (i was on test1 before). When i run it though gdb it shows that its segfaulting on some assembly code in vm86.c if that helps anyone. from gdb: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x0804f39a in vm86old (vm=0x87226a0) at vm86.c:684 684 asm volatile ( > I have used Xvesa before with XFree86, but now while the FC2-test2 has > moved to xorg-x11 server i can't use it. Is there something which > depends on XFree86? I would like to give more info on this just i don't > know how to debug this out, so if You can please help. nothing should depend on XFree86 AFAIK... I had a similar problem with RH9, and eventually something in CVS was fixed and all was fine. > 2: xcompmgr > I have updated my tree to the latest CVS but now if i run make in the > xcompmgr directory i get this: > xcompmgr.c:40:39: X11/extensions/Xcomposite.h No such file or directory > xcompmgr.c:41:36: X11/extensions/Xdamage.h No such file or directory > > but i can find this files in the /opt/fdo/include/X11/extensions > directory. What i do wrong? i noticed that there is now a autogen.sh in the xcompmgr dir... run it the same as you did with other parts of the FD.o XServer: ./autogen.sh --prefix=/opt/fdo > Thats all right now, sometimes xcompmgr gets crashed, but thats not a > big problem while i run it again and everything is ok, and the rest of > the Xserver is very stable, it never crashed for me once, so i'm very > happy with it. same here... just wish there was HW accel for my nvidia card... hopefully xizzle will be useable in the near future. > Thanks Again, > Julius > > _______________________________________________ > xserver mailing list > [email protected] > http://freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/xserver > -- Douglas McMorris [email protected]
