At xdevconf I mentioned Cooperative Linux. Here's a link showing how to set it up. http://www.linuxdevcenter.com/pub/a/linux/2004/04/29/colinux.html CoLinux is interesting because it lets you run Linux on Windows without having to reboot Windows or reformat your disk. It's an excellent way to introduce Windows user to the world of Linux. CoLinux might be a good place to demonstrate the power of xserver on OpenGL since CoLinux programs can access the Windows OpenGL implementation.
