Xinput extension

Are there any plans to get the Xinput extension working on kdrive?
In particular I want to get my wacom tablet working (its a Toshiba M200
tabletPC)
I need to use kdrive since the xorg/xfree86 server doesn't support
dynamic screen rotation.
If there are no plans does anyone have an idea how hard it would be for
me to attempt this?
