Regarding starting X server

Hi
I have a diskless client which boots from a dhcpd server(FC 2).
On the client I can start the X server only when I'm logged in
as root. When I login as some other user it gives the following
error

Fatal server error PAM authentication failed, cannot start X server.
Perhaps you do not have console ownership?

Please help to solve this problem as I am new to this.
