had a look at ruby first actually. also suggests some xserver modifications if the hackvideo option doesn't work. actually couldn't get it to work, so went the other path anyhow. >From docs.... "The experimental way": you can use the "hackvideo"(ignoring pci_disable XFree commands) feature of the Backstreet Ruby kernel. This will allow you to use the XFree server that came with your distribution (no need for installing modified XFree server). ruby seems just as hackish as what I'm currently doing. is there any work being done on a better supported way? -----Original Message----- From: Marco Sinhoreli [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, 26 January 2005 01:40 a.m. To: Miles Roper; '[email protected]' Cc: 'Peter Andersson'; Thinstation-Developer (thinstation-developer-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org) Subject: Re: [Thinstation-developer] Dual Head Support Hello Miles, I find the solution for multiterminal on google and I found this page (in portoghese) http://www.c3sl.ufpr.br/multiterminal/casos.php and http://www.c3sl.ufpr.br/multiterminal/howto-pt.php for use with 4 keyboards, 4 mouses and 4 monitors. They use this patch for kernel (http://startx.times.lv/), this X config (http://www.c3sl.ufpr.br/multiterminal/XF86Config-4) and this documents: http://linuxconsole.sourceforge.net/ http://tldp.org/HOWTO/XFree-Local-multi-user-HOWTO/index.html http://startx.times.lv/index.html Good hacking.
