Just to warn you - I know very little about the kdrive
implementation, so please don't maul what i'm saying
too much.

I was wondering if its possible to write a wrapper
around the standard driver calls that map it to
kdriver, so i can use, for example, the nvidia driver
w/ kdrive. Is the format and style of the driver
completely different? or is it just different names
and a few different data structures and possibly more
elegant code?
This seems like something we should be concentrating
on (if at all possible), as it would, even if slow,
provide a nice way to keep on using older (possibly
unsupported) drivers. This would allow development to
concentrate more upon the server / libraries /
xcompmgr etc. then the hardware-software bridge, which
could prolly speed up devel somewhat.

Is this at all possible?
