Screen corruption with xcompmgr

Hi. I've been seeing this:

screen corruption when I start xcompmgr. It happens with both vesa and
fb backends. I reported it in the IRC channel, but I was wondering if
it has been fixed or not. If not, what can I do to help to debug the
problem? (graphics card is an voodoo 3 3000 agp, in 2xP3 machine)
