Problem using gpm with Xvesa

I currently use GPM with XFree without problem, i wanted to test Xserver
but i can't manage to make my mouse function with gpm using the repeat
mode. 

My mouse is a logitech mouse wheel, and if i run Xserver -mouse
/dev/misc/psaux it functions with the ImPS/2 protocol. But if i run gpm
e and fire xserver with Xserver -mouse /dev/gpmdata then i cannot
determine the mouse protocol and sitch between imps/2 and ps/2,
eternally...

I think i could investigate the problem myself with some advices.
