Xati crash

Running Xati with dri enabled seems to be very buggy. 

I am unable to switch VT using the keyboard, and gdm crashes when I try
to do it from the login screen.

The cursor seems to leave garbage on screen, but it is cleaned up after
a few moments giving the impression of a mini cursor tails.

Some fonts are corrupted (subpixel antialiased, clientside fonts), and
the server seems to freeze for several seconds. After some more time it
finally crashes.

What's the current status of the Xati hw acceleration?
